Why 'Liquid Connection'?
Our name compliments our approach. 'Liquid' refers to the ability to fluidly support people and meet local needs in our community. Our activities are a means to providing care and practical support for the people we work with, with a focus on nurturing relationships and being a positive presence within the community.
History
Liquid Connection, a Christian faith based charity, have been working with young people in Leatherhead for over 7 years. In 2006, Liquid Connection became a registered charity, and have been supporting local young people with projects, events and activities ever since.
How we work
Liquid Connection work with a particular focus on young people in Leatherhead and across Mole Valley. We have strong relational links with local young people, and work to ensure that our services are in direct response to the needs of our community. We also work closely with local schools, youth practitioners and community groups to gain referrals and measure the impact of the work we do.
Liquid Connection are a team of skilled and experienced youth workers who have a passion for Leatherhead. Our organisation provides a platform for our team to implement targeted youth work which is relevant to local young people, providing relational support dealing with issues they face and focusing on a positive future. This work includes relational trips, leisure evenings, sports activities, and mentoring. Please see What We Do for more information on our work.
Where our work takes place
Liquid Connection currently run projects at The Bridge Youth Centre and BFree Youth Cafe in Leatherhead, with our offices currently residing in Leatherhead Theatre.
Our approach and values
These values shape who we are and what you can expect from us.
Relational - Being relational means we understand and value the power of relationship as a means of support and love. Relationships transcend project or activities, and we aim to promote and embody relationships which are respectful, appropriate, and empowering.
Faith - Our Christian faith is at the centre of who we are and how we understand hope and love. Our Faith is reflected in the love and support we show to local families and young people.
Integrity - As an organisation we aim to promote accountability and transparency. We aim to be professional and honest as we work together with partners and regional bodies.
Partnership - We strongly value working in partnership with local organisations. We have strong local links and are delighted to share resources, advice and support with our partners as we work together.
