22nd August - The Grind Summer Jam

Over 45 young people took part in The Grind's second annual urban sports competition on Sunday 22nd August. Taking place at Kingston Road Recreation Ground in Leatherhead, young people competed for top prizes which were given out amongst three categories: skateboarding, BMXing and blading. Around 100 people were present to enjoy the day, with all being treated to a free BBQ and music from the Boombus (www.boombus.co.uk).

This event was a great chance for local young people to show case their skills and put their practice to good use, and The Grind are planning on running the competition again next year.
