Introducing...Mole Valley Mentoring Scheme
Posted by Joe Crome on 27th January 2011

The Liquid team are very pleased to announce Mole Valley Mentoring Scheme (or MVMS).
MVMS is a borough wide initiative which will see vulnerable young people partnered with trained, volunteer mentors. Working together with Mole Valley's Police team, Liquid Connection will identify young people who are most at risk of offending, or who are facing difficult circumstances. They will then be matched by a mentor, who will provide one-to-one support for a minimum of one year.
This presents us with a fantastic opportunity to train and support a group of volunteers who are passionate about helping local young people. Each mentoring session is allocated a small activity budget, which means that mentoring can take place at a local cafe, over a game of tennis, or at the bowling alley.
We are working together with the local Police teams to ensure that Mole Valley Mentoring Scheme is a project which everyone in Mole Valley can be proud of.
The scheme should go live in April 2011, so watch this space for further updates..
