Football Projects
North Leatherhead United FC
North Leatherhead United FC (NLUFC) is a local football team which launched in 2009. NLU began in direct response to the wishes of a group of teenage boys in North Leatherhead who were desperate to play competitive football. We launched the team to provide a positive, healthy activity for this group of young people, who are extremely passionate about playing football.
North Leatherhead United play in the Surrey Primary League Division 3, currently operating with one under 17's team. The team play every Sunday, with home games taking place on Kingston Road Recreation ground. Training sessions are run with support from Mole Valley District Council, featuring qualified football coaches who can impart skills and discipline to the players. The team is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who are present on match day each sunday to support the team.
Total Football
Liquid Connection are also involved with the running of Total Football in Leatherhead. The project, which has been running for 4 years, invites young people to enter 6-a-side teams into a competitive league, which takes place every friday night at Therfield Sports college. Total Football encourages young people to engage with positive activities and healthy lifestyles, and develops young people into leaders by providing platforms into volunteering to help run the project, FA coaching Level 1 certificates and FA refereeing qualifications.
