An action packed activity camp for local young people

What is Freestyle?
Freestyle is a residential camp which sees us taking over 40 young people to Reed's School in Oxshott for 4 days of activities, sports, games, skills workshops and group sessions.

When does it take place?
Freestyle takes place annually, during the Easter holidays in April.

Why does Freestyle happen?
Freestyle provides local young people with an affordable time away, which a number of young people recognise as their only holiday of the year. We look to build confidence, develop skills and provide a friendly atmosphere which allows local young people to make new friends and be more understanding of others around them. This time away allows our participants to enjoy themselves while getting to know local youth workers who can support them.

Who is responsible?
Freestyle is run by Liquid Connection, in partnership with Leatherhead Youth Project. Freestyle is supported by over 15 volunteers on each camp who give up their time to make this project happen.

What do young people learn?
Alongside unique activities and challenges, we run educational workshops which will develop new skills. These have previously included photography, drumming, street dancing, animation, beat-boxing/MC'ing, professional brazilian soccer skills and video production.
